The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

Names and e-mail addresses, postal addresses.

Note: Haptic & Hue does not collect financial information about those that become Friends of Haptic & Hue as this is held by the Applications that we use to process funds, such as Stripe, Buy Me A Coffee and Memberful.

How we get personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • To sign up for the Newsletter.
  • To receive a gift that we give away.
  • To sign up for Friends of Haptic & Hue and any event associated with it.

We do not collect people’s data from any indirect sources. 

We use the information that you have given us in order to send out newsletters, to alert you to new content or events, or to send out gifts.  

We do not share your information with any other organisations.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting contact@hapticandhue.com

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored on password protected online applications. It is not held in our files.  

  • If you sign up to receive our newsletter we have access to your name and e-mail until you unsubscribe, at that stage it is deleted from our systems.
  • If you give us your name and address in the hope of receiving a free gift we delete this from our e-mails after one month.
  • If you sign up to become a Friend of Haptic & Hue, this is through an Application called Memberful, we will see your name and e-mail but not your financial details. When you cease to subscribe your name and e-mail will disappear. We do not collect this data for our own files.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
